The IFJ Asia-Pacific Regional Bulletin October, 2021 spotlights the continual struggle for press freedom in Myanmar under the military junta's relentless persecution of journalists since the coup on February 1, 2021. Journalists in the disputed Kashmir continue to face threats as the government quashes dissent using highly controversial and restrictive laws. The bulletin also highlights the encouraging work by the IFJ and our Pakistan affiliates Khyber Union of Journalists Pakistan (KHUJ) and Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) in securing a stronger media sphere and greater representation of women.
