The IFJ Congress in Oman passed 32 resolutions on the challenges journalists are facing nowadays, including their safety, attacks on press freedom, the independence of media, the IFJ's working programme, union organising and the surveillance of journalists, among others.
Dominique Pradalié from France, member of the National Union of Journalists (SNJ), was elected President of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) on 2 June 2022 at the 31st IFJ Congress in Muscat, Oman. After six years on the IFJ Executive Committee, Dominique Pradalié succeeds Younes Mjahed from Morocco.
Jennifer Robinson is an Australian human rights lawyer and barrister with Doughty Street Chambers in London. She's a member of the legal team of Julian Assange and is working with the IFJ and the PJS to submit a complaint to the International Criminal Court over the Israeli authorities' systematic targeting of Palestinian journalists. She took part in the #IFJCongress2022 in Oman.
