Seven propositions made to European Parliament to protect author’s rights in the audiovisual field

The Society of Audiovisuals Authors (SAA), the Federation of European Directors (FERA) and the Federation of European Screenwriters (FSE) have made seven propositions to the new European parliament with the aim of giving better protection to directors and screenwriters’ author’s rights.

Among the propositions, the three organisations, which represent authors in Europe, have in particular asked for a guarantee for authors to be remunerated for each use of their work, as well as the consolidation of the private copying levy system.
