The reporter for Awami Awaz, a Sindhi daily newspaper, and chairman of the Padidan Press Club, was killed by unknown assailants who opened fire outside the Padidan Press Club. Rajper had reportedly sought police protection following threats over his investigative reporting which exposed corruption within the local administration.
