The 61-year-old presenter on Radio Oriestereo was gunned down in the locality of Ixtaczoquitlán in the state of Veracruz. According to the Sindicato Nacional de Redactores de la Prensa (SNRP, an IFJ affiliate, Flores had received threats in 2020 because of his work. He reported them to the authorities and asked for protection measures.
