Survey and recommendations on work life balance in the live performance and audiovisual sectors in Europe

The European Arts and Entertainment Alliance (EAEA)including federations representating musicians (FIM), actors (Euro-FIA) and film technicians (EURO-MEI) and the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) carried out a joint project on work-life balance in eight countries: France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. the project resulted in the publication of a research study and the adoption of recommendations by each federation's board. The research collected and analysed information on the following issues:
• The situation of work-life balance in the four sectors of activity and its impact
on men and women in eight selected countries (France, Germany, Poland,
Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom);
• Strategies developed by local affiliates to promote work-life balance;
• Examples of existing national good policies and practices developed by trade
