From political challenges to handling sources, from overcoming financial constraints to engage audiences, from securing management support to the tips and tools which help journalists interrogate data and tell stories in an engaging way for varied audiences, this study tour will give media managers and investigative journalists an insight in to how public and private media are tackling such challenges.
Meet journalists who worked on the Panama and Pandora papers stories, the investigative journalists of Belgian public broadcaster RTBF and national newspaper Le Soir, reporters from Northern Ireland facing paramilitary threats, plus leading investigative journalists will analyse key public interest stories and investigative programmes from Austria, Spain, UK and Ireland.
With plenty of opportunities for interaction and questions this is a great opportunity for new and experienced investigative journalists to build their skills, develop new ideas and share experience.
Organised by the International Federation of Journalists, the study tour – ideal for journalists, editors, newsroom executives - will consist of online webinars/workshops which will take place on Wednesday 13, 20 and 27 October 2021. Each session will last a maximum of two hours.
