Cooperation Agreement Regarding Author’s Rights between the SPA in Portugal and the UNAC in Angola

The Portuguese Society of Authors (SPA) has signed an agreement with the National Union of Artists and Compositors (UNAC) in Angola. The agreement means they will collaborate together on the “essential areas of author’s rights management”.Among the different sections in the agreement is a promise from the Portuguese collective management organisation to help create an informatics system which should allow their Angolan colleagues to keep a better inventory of their author’s rights. It should also ease the task of covering and distributing author’s rights. Training for author’s rights management is also planned. The UNAC, created 29 years ago, currently represents over 6, 000 artists in Angola.
