When the first cases of a novel pneumonia were reported in the Chinese city of Wuhan in late 2019, few could have imagined the mass consequences of a pandemic that has since claimed more than 2.2 million lives worldwide. This IFJ bulletin provides a glimpse at how Covid-19 has impacted press freedom and journalism in East Asia in that time.
