IFJ Challenge to African Union Leaders: Set Journalists Free and Abandon Press Controls – Update on the Campaign

Update from CREDO - Centre for Research Education & Development Of Freedom of Expression & Associated Rights

Dear Colleagues,

Find below some web accessible media coverage of the campaign - mostly from African media and reproduced on AllAfrica.Com . There have also been reports in publications not available on the internet in addition to quite a few web postings on sites not listed here.

We are also calling for continued support for the petition in order for an updated list of signatories to be submitted to the newly elected African Commission Chair Alpha Konare at the end of September when he resumes officially.

An updated list of signatories will be available twice weekly Tuesdays and Fridays @ www.fahamu.org .

We will send you a report on the campaign before the end of the month.

We look forward to further collaboration with you.
Thanks again for all your support

All the best
Adeyinka Olubunmi
