EAJA Launches Website

The Eastern Africa Journalists Association (EAJA), a sub-regional body of the Federation of African Journalists (FAJ)- a regional body of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), Tuesday, 17 August 2010, launched its website http://eaja.org.

 

The new website, supported by the European Union (EU) and the IFJ, will be used by EAJA as a communication and advocacy platform in its work on media freedom, freedom of expression, journalists’ rights, working conditions and democracy in the region.

 

The website done in EAJA colours of blue and orange, and designed to be interactive and to encourage information exchange between the EAJA secretariat, its member unions/associations and individual journalists, features media freedom news content, members’ contact, a list of EAJA publications and their content, and provides links to websites of related and collaborating organisations like the IFJ, IFEX and Reporters Without Borders (RSF)
