The 69-year-old veteran reporter who covered topics such as organized crime and corruption for the Review-Journal, was stabbed fatally in an altercation outside his home, according to a statement by UNESCO Director-General.
Media reports quoted the Las Vegas Review- Journal where German worked as saying that the journalist had been working on a series of stories concerning alleged wrongdoing by Clark County Public
Administrator Robert Telles.
In a brief statement, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Departmentsaid that “The suspect in the homicide that occurred on September 2, 2022, has been taken into custody."The Review-Journal named Tellesas the man detained, citing Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo’s records which showed that Telles had been detained in custody in connection with an open murder investigation, according to news reports.
