The 23-year-old journalist for La Tribuna TV, was found dead reportedly with gunshots wounds and his mouth taped shut near his home in the Central District, after being kidnapped along with his father who was also found dead.

According to a statement issued by the National Police, they were approached and forced to leave their home by a group wearing Military Police of Public Order uniforms. Nine suspects were arrested a week later in connection with the killings.
