The photojournalist for Dos Costas based in Acapulco city, Guerrero state, was abducted from his home by unidentified. He was later found nearby a few hours later with injuries but still alive.

Despite receiving medical treatment, he died a few days later on Sunday as a results of the wounds he sustained during his captivity.
