Mexico: IFJ condemns murder of reporter Manuel Torres in Veracruz

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), representing 600,000 journalists worldwide, has backed calls by the National Union of Press Reporters (SNRP) of Mexico, in the strong condemnation of the murder of reporter Manuel Torres in the state of Veracruz. Torres is the 94th reporter to have been killed since 2000, while 23 are still missing, making Mexico one of the most violent places in the world to be a journalist.
