Ihor Hudenko

The Ukrainian photojournalist died in Kharkiv, according to the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU)and Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne. His friends lost contact of him during intense fighting in the city and its surroundings, after the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.

Hudenko worked at the local TV broadcaster Glavnoe until 2016, and since then made documentary films and contributed to outlets including Radio Svoboda, the Ukrainian service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL),media reports quoted his friend Peregon as saying. Hudenko also covered events and protests held by the local environmental group, Green Front.The group said that Hudenko had died while filming on Natalia Uzhviy Street and was buried on 9 April.
