EFJ Calls on Members to Participate in Questionnaire on Journalists Skills and Training Needs

The European Federation of Journalists is part of a consortium running the REPORSTAG-E project which plans to establish a virtual training centre for journalists needing to improve their new technology skills. The EFJ questionnaire has been developed to identify the current skills and training needs of European journalists and will provide essential information for developing the training modules of the virtual training centre.

We encourage all EFJ member unions to contribute to this process by completing the questionnaire and nominating contact points to participate in a discussion forum that will evaluate the progress of the project.

Your time is precious, so the questions are straightforward and to the point. They cover your current technological working environment, your education and training needs, your appraisal of current e-learning tools and the challenges posed to journalists by the new Information Society. This information will be of great value to you and your members.

The deadline for returning the questionnaire is 1st June 2003. If you have time, please have the form filled out and returned today. Please send them either by mail to Christophe Duflos: [email protected]

or by post to
