Stronger Media for Stronger Democracy In The Maldives

This project is led by the International Federation of Journalists in partnership with the Maldives Journalists Association (MJA) to strengthen the capacity of journalists to defend press freedom and democracy in the Maldives. The objective of the project is to assess the immediate issues and needs of Maldivian journalists and provide critical institutional support and training.

Mitigating Reduction in Media Freedom in and outside China by Strengthening the Capacity of Journalists

This project will work to build awareness and dialogue on media engagement on China media issues in Mainland China and Hong Kong at the international level as well as strengthen media freedom monitoring and advocacy in the East Asia region more broadly. The action will achieve its purpose by building the capacity of journalists, improving dialogue and collaboration both and outside the region, and leveraging technology to increase the safety of journalists and their sources.

Promoting Labour Rights, Gender Equality and Freedom of Association in Pakistan’s Media

This project is led by the International Federation of Journalists in partnership with the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), the Women’s Media Centre and the Pakistan Council of Media Women. It aims to strengthen the capacity, confidence and strategic networking of journalists representative organisations and press clubs, as well as representatives from mainstream, freelance and entrepreneurial media to devise a national approach to a decent work agenda and gender equity for Pakistan’s media.
