Unswerving. Engaged. Industrious. And in Unison. This is the fighting campaigning spirit that put IFJ member unions at the forefront of the battles to defend and advance the interests of journalists and journalism all over the world. There is no doubt that 2014 was one of our most challenging years. There were fears about journalists’ security, fears about their jobs and there is still uncertainty about the future. But everywhere our unions and their members did bold things and stood up for journalism. Our cohesion and solidarity give us an enormous incentive to feel pride in who we are and what we can achieve in these trying time. And everywhere our unions are confident and decisive about building their future. We know that we have it in our power to come through this stronger if we remain focused and stand up for each other. The IFJ wish you and your loved ones happy holidays and best wishes for 2015.
