Election Reporting and Safety in the Democratic Republic of Congo
The project will train journalists from the public and private media on election reporting and safety. About 300 journalists from ten different regions considered as very “sensitive” - including the capital Kinshasa - will be trained prior to the campaigns of the presidential candidates ahead of the elections in December, 2018.
There will also be a post-election assessment of the impact the project has achieved with regards to the reports of journalists who had been trained. This is a joint project run by Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI)/International Federation of Journalists (IFJ)
