IFJ - Campaigning for Rights and Justice
The IFJ is a campaigning organization standing up for the rights of journalists in the workplace and in society. Our campaigns target governments, employers and anyone who threatens fairness at work or the safety, security and the social and professional rights of journalists.
Whether supporting street protests in Karachi or at the courts in Turkey, publishing a report in to gender-based violence or lobbying the United Nations, whether exposing Iranian persecution of journalists at the UN Human Rights Council, demanding answers to the crisis of impunity in Mexico or the Philippines or supporting striking media workers in Greece, the IFJ acts globally and locally, working with our affiliates on the ground to defend journalists and journalism.
As a worldwide trade union federation we also campaign as part of the global labour movement to protect workers’ rights and for social justice.
